Andrew Wakefield
Andrew Wakefield was a former British surgeon and medical researcher who was known for his fraudulent research paper in 1998 that connected the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine to the development of Autism. This study caused much controversy as it reached the GMC (General Medical Council) as they conducted the inquiry of the research. The court found four counts of dishonesty and 12 abuses of developmentally challenged children. Andrew Wakefield got his medical license taken away and was found guilty to realizing a false study that changed how people look at vaccines forever.
